RV Rental Terms and Conditions
Reservation Deposit
A deposit of $250.00 is due at time of booking on rentals of one week or less. For rentals longer than one week, 25% of total rental cost is due,
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be in writing (email is preferred). A $200 charge applies to all cancellations over 30 days from the date of departure. For cancellations less than 30 days prior to the scheduled pick up date, the reservation deposit will be forfeit. No-shows will also forfeit their deposit.
Payment
Payment of all rental charges is due upon vehicle pickup. Rental charges are billed in Canadian Dollars and can be paid by Canadian cash, bank draft, PayPal, etransfer, Visa or Mastercard. No personal cheques will be accepted.
Security Deposit
A security deposit of $1000.00 will be pre-authorized at pick up time to cover any additional costs related to vehicle damage, additional mileage fees, insurance deductible, loss of equipment, extraordinary cleaning, refueling and extra time fees. This fee is fully refundable if no additional charges are incurred. This includes parking tickets, tolls and photo radar.
All vans have collision coverage and fire/theft/vandalism coverage. The deductibles are $500 and $300 respectively. Renters are responsible for the deductible in the event of an at-fault accident or other incident. Deductible will be charged from Security deposit.
Mileage
1000 kilometers per week is included with the rental. Additional kilometers are charged at $0.35 after 140/km per day, 1000/km per week. Additional kilometer packages can be pre-purchased for the following amounts.
100—$28.
500- $125
1000-$220
No refunds for unused kilometers.
Pets
Pets are not allowed in the vehicles, unless previously agreed to. A $100 cleaning fee will be applied should any sign of pets be detected.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted inside the vans. Violation of this rule is subject to a $250 cleaning charge.
Towing
Rental vans are prohibited from towing trailers or vehicles of any kind.
Tires
Renter is responsible for any tire damage incurred during rental period. Flat tires must be repaired and remounted as soon as possible. Do not drive long distance on spare tire,
Age Restrictions
Drivers must be at least 21 years of age. Drivers under 25 subject to a $30/day insurance fee.
Fuel
Vehicles leave with a full tank of gas and propane and have to return with a both tanks full. An additional charge of $25.00 plus the cost of fuel will be charged if vans not returned full.
Drivers License
All drivers must possess a valid driving license for the entire rental period. An international driving license is recommended for foreign tourists. Only drivers listed on the contract are allowed to drive the vans and all drivers must present their driving license at vehicle pick up.
Pick up and Return
Vehicles are available for pick up after 3 pm. Vans must be returned by 11 am on the return date. Early pick requests considered depending on availability.
Late returns are billed at $50. for the first hour late, $75 for the second hour late and a full days rental if over 2 hours late. Unless previously arranged, additional rental days beyond the rental period will be charged at DOUBLE the prevailing rate so please ensure that you have enough time to return the van on the agreed upon date.
No Refund for early returns.
Mechanical Problems
We provide a comprehensive vehicle orientation prior to each rental, which the primary renter shall initial as evidence of receiving operation instructions. Failure to follow renter’s part. Example:
1 Not heeding the warning lights on the dash, or temperature gauges.
- Not stopping immediately.
- Not callingVantasticRentals as soon as possible.
The company will be reimbursed for any loss of income resulting from negligent damage caused while the vehicle was in the customers care.
No unauthorized repairs shall be made by the customer. The company should be notified of any problems and instructions will be given.
Driving Location Restrictions
No coverage if vehicle taken into Mexico
Renters are encouraged to stay on paved roads where possible, but gravel roads are permitted as long as they are well-maintained. If you damage a van by taking it off road, you will be responsible for repairing the damages. If you get a van stuck in the mud or are stranded on an unpaved road, you will be responsible for all costs associated with getting it out (e.g. towing and other damages).
